Welcome to VISID. By using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VISID, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

VISID provides image metadata enrichment services that allow users to:

  • Embed authorship and provenance data into images
  • Add AI-generated metadata tags and descriptions
  • Apply SEO-optimized metadata for enhanced discoverability
  • Declare AI training preferences, embedded as a signal in the file and public record
  • Create a permanent, publicly resolvable identity record for each stamped image

When you stamp an image, a permanent public record is created at visid.app/verify/[visid] containing your declared information. The following fields are publicly accessible to anyone without an account: identity fields (VISID identifier, version, verify URL, filename, file type, stamp timestamp); declared content (title, description, subject, keywords, AI-generated keywords, user tags, category, tone); attribution (creator name, copyright, attribution mode, attribution URI, origin URL); rights (license type, license URI, rights URL, derivative permission); AI declarations (AI training preference, AI usage in creation); and record status (verification status, confidence score, attested status). This record is designed to be permanent and persists after subscription cancellation and after account deletion.

3. User Accounts

To use VISID, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

4. Token System and Billing

VISID uses a token-based system for service usage:

  • Tokens are purchased through subscription plans or one-time top-ups
  • AI-Enriched stamping costs 1 token per image
  • SEO-Calibrated stamping costs 10 tokens per image
  • Subscription tokens roll over month-to-month up to your tier's bank cap (2x your monthly allocation). When the cap is reached, new monthly tokens are not added until your balance drops below the cap.
  • Free tier tokens expire at the end of each calendar month and do not roll over
  • Token top-ups are stored separately from your subscription balance, have no cap, and never expire - including after subscription cancellation
  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled

5. Vi - Image Intelligence Assistant

Vi is an AI-powered assistant available to paid subscribers. By using Vi, you agree that:

  • Chat messages and any image metadata or image content you share with Vi are transmitted to Anthropic solely to generate Vi's responses. No conversation data is retained by VISID beyond what is necessary for abuse monitoring.
  • Vi chat is subject to monthly message limits based on your subscription tier. These limits reset on the first of each month.
  • Ask Vi (available on stamp, view, and verify pages) analyzes your image or record directly and costs 1 token per use. This is separate from your monthly chat allowance.
  • Vi conversations flagged for abuse or misuse of the service may be reviewed by VISID staff.
  • Vi is an AI assistant and may produce inaccurate or incomplete information. You should not rely solely on Vi's responses for legal, copyright, or licensing decisions.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

Your Content: You retain all rights to images you upload. By using VISID, you grant us a limited license to process your images solely for the purpose of providing our metadata enrichment services.

Our Service: VISID's software, design, and technology are protected by intellectual property laws and remain the property of VISID.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload images you do not have rights to use
  • Use the service for illegal or unauthorized purposes
  • Attempt to circumvent the token system or payment requirements
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our source code
  • Use automated systems to abuse our API or service
  • Upload malicious content or attempt to harm our infrastructure

8. Declaration Disclaimer

VISID is a declaration platform. When you stamp an image, you are making a self-declared statement of authorship, ownership, and intent. VISID does not independently verify the accuracy of any information you declare, including but not limited to creator identity, copyright ownership, licensing terms, or AI training preferences.

By stamping an image, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the rights to stamp and declare ownership of the image
  • The information you declare is accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • You are not making false or misleading claims of authorship or ownership

VISID accepts no liability for false, inaccurate, or misleading declarations made by users. Users who make false declarations may have their accounts terminated and may be subject to legal action by affected third parties.

9. Data Storage and Processing

Uploaded images are processed and returned with embedded metadata. Raw uploads are deleted immediately after processing is complete.

Stamped images are temporarily stored and available for download for up to 7 days, after which they are automatically deleted.

A thumbnail preview and stamp record (including metadata fields and AI-generated content) are retained indefinitely as part of your stamp history. You may request deletion of your stamp history by contacting us at support@visid.app.

10. Refund Policy

Due to the immediate delivery of digital tokens upon purchase, all sales are final. However, we will consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis for technical issues or service failures. Contact us at support@visid.app for refund inquiries.

11. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of VISID at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes that affect your use of the service.

12. Limitation of Liability

VISID is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the past 12 months.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may cancel your account at any time through your profile settings.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of VISID after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or service notifications.
